Projects and What TGV do.

TGV has driven and contributed to many community campaigns that address the human rights of trans and gender diverse people (TGD).

TGV is committed to working with and for the TGD community. TGV also work in partnership with various LGBTI and mainstream organisations to create positive social and legislative changes that will benefit TGD people and their allies as relevant.

Our community partnerships include those with the Vic­to­rian Equal Oppor­tu­nity and Human Rights Commission, Gay and Lesbian Health Victoria, VALS Cafe, Anxiety Recovery Centre of Victoria (ARCVic), Rainbow Families Council, Bisexual Alliance Victoria and Organisation Intersex International Australia and the LGBTI Health Alliance.

Mission

Transgender Victoria (TGV) was founded in the late 1990s to achieve justice, equity and quality health and community service provision for trans and gender diverse (TGD) people, their partners, families and friends.

TGV uses TGD to refer to people whose gender identity or expression is different from that which was assigned at birth or that which is expected of them by society.
