Gen2Gen is a community film project produced by Melbourne Queer Film Festival and presented by beyondblue. A person under 25 years was paired with a person over 55 years to create a short films about each other that explored themes around pride, hope, recovery and resilience experienced by same sex attracted, trans* and gender diverse people.

These films were made from start to finish during MQFF 2014, shot on iPhones by participants who had never made a film before with the assistance from mentors Grant Scicluna, Jannine Barnes and Justin Olstein.

 

 

 

Mission

Transgender Victoria (TGV) was founded in the late 1990s to achieve justice, equity and quality health and community service provision for trans and gender diverse (TGD) people, their partners, families and friends.

TGV uses TGD to refer to people whose gender identity or expression is different from that which was assigned at birth or that which is expected of them by society.
